I wanted to take a more holistic approach to my healing and felt the 6 weeks of radiation was something I did not want to do to my body. I did review all the options and even went to meet with a radiation oncologist and to see the radiation therapy treatment room. I decided that was not ”healing” for me and chose living foods detox/cleansing instead along with working with an integrative medicine doctor who helps me with my immune system and hormone balancing.
Everyone has their own journey through cancer and I’m not judging anyone who chooses conventional treatments. I just knew that was not right for me and am happy to share my experience in case it helps support another woman out there who wants to follow a similar path.
It was not easy choosing not to do radiation therapy at the time I was under a lot of pressure from doctor’s & family/friends so I know how daunting it can be to make the holistic/alternative choices.
That is why I am willing to share….there were few resources or places for me to connect with when I needed to make these tough life altering choices.

I experienced a journey through breast cancer in 2009/10 I had a lumpectomy but chose not to do radiation treatments, instead I did a raw & living foods cleanse and continue to detox/cleanse on a regular basis. So far now I am 1 year ”all-clear” I’m happy to share more for anyone interested in following a similar path.
